i used to be 1500 in daily and rapid 3 years ago, theres also the fact that players have been getting better on average i think

Avatar of Kings4Charity

well you're only 400 bullet so you prob just do better the more time u have

elo hell... 1200 is particularly difficult to get out of i know from being 1200 like 5 times now climbing all the way up to 1400 sometimes then falling down to 1200. Not sure if its still like that because i havent even touched rapid ive been playing blitz, im 1150 in it

OP: What is the sense of your topic? You claim that you cheat in the puzzles or you claim that you’re garbage at playing chess? I don’t understand what you’re trying to tell us.

There can't be any actual Elo rating out of solving puzzles.

Why do I say that?

Because of how the Elo rating system was conceived by its inventor Arpad Elo.

The Elo rating system is based upon two things: your score (like for an example 8/10) and the average rating of your opponents (that's for a first Elo rating).

Puzzle makers sure may grant their puzzles an evaluation that is supposed to hint how hard it's going to be to solve them, but an evaluation is no rating: it's just an estimate.

And, as such, it's no wonder fantasy ratings are produced by it.

Your "2350" Elo rating is pure fantasy, cos it's not based upon games played against rated players.

For more details see here:

You can reliably only raise rating if you only solve puzzles when you are certain of the correct answer, no matter how long you think about the puzzle.

No.

Next, some will begin to argue that this year has a 2025 Elo rating.

It's not enough a number looks like an Elo rating so it's suddendly, all by magic, an Elo rating.

OP's puzzle "rating" is a fantasy rating, while his 1270 Daily rating is really some of an Elo rating (since Chess.com do produce their own variation of it).
