1.Nf3 d4 2. g3 ...
I have a weird problem

I'm a beginner at chess. Learned to play it a long time ago but was never interested in it.
A few days ago I got into it a little bit after I played with my friend.
So I played some games and it was pretty fun to learn and stuff like that.
My issue is that whenever i'm not playing chess, a lot of the times I think about chess.
When I play video games, watch t.v, or work. I think about chess and I imagine pieces on the board doing moves that I would do.
Even when I go to sleep, this weird thought of chess just came up out of no where.
It's not life threatening or anything but it's weird how i'm thinking about chess at random times.
What do you guys think?
I hope you're not a surgeon.

I think you've just discovered why we're all here.
Love for chess
Sounds like you grow interest in chess. Hope not just to impress somebody :) It wont work then
Yeah everyday I just play against the computer on my phone for a bit of practice since my brain keeps reminding me of chess moves.

I am a beginner too, when I first started, 2 years ago, was ~1200 rating. Tactics trainer was very helpful for me, exercise it, you'll increase your rating significantly

Love for chess
I think of it more like an addiction, but what the heck, it's healthier than smoking or drinking, although ultimately it will probably cut the same number of years off your life.

Yes, since chess is going to shave several years off your life, anyway, you might as well indulge in unhealthy activities at the same time, right?
