I just beat a prominent rival of mine

Sort:

I played him in the Qa5 variation of the Sicilian Dragon. I sacced a piece and then a pawn to put pressure on him, then I guess I put so much pressure on him that he hung a rook and then a bishop. He played well but I wish he'd played better, I think my sacrifice was wholly sound :(:

Keep up the good work :)

Post the game...

without too much of your analysis ;)

Sure. I didn't want to shame him. I just felt very good afterwards, since I played badly in our first encounter.

It was very late and I actually played really badly, but somehow I put enough psychological pressure on him that he cracked. You'll find a less optimistic version of my analysis in this diagram, tell me what you think.

31...Ng4 looks crushing at first glance but your opponent committed hara-kiri the following turn anyways. If he tries 32. Qh5 then Bxh6 and he's in all sorts of trouble.

It really was a poorly played game on both sides.
