I just beat the Chess Engine on Level 25 is it broken or did I find a weakness

I have the game on my blog and would love to hear what you think happened. I am not supposed to be able to do this.

So what went wrong with the engine? Did I make so many stupid moves in a row that it was stunned into incompetence?

Grievious

Is that your real picture?  If so, you are incredibly gorgeous.  <3 I too am using my real picture.  I was barbequing some ribs.

VenusMons

Thank you for your kind words and Ribs are a must have on the campfire for a summer evening when camping.  I was wondering if I found a hole in the Chess Engine. I played it on Level 25 and for some reason...I have no real idea why I was able to win by checkmate.  I have played it on Lvl 25 maybe 8 or 10 times and lost quite reliably every time. I am trying to see if there is something I did by accident that predicated this result.? I don't know I am hoping some one who plays can tell me what I did wrong to cause this result.

ImThePawnExterminator

Well maybe you just played really good.. i dont think the bot has any issues.. so yeah gg

VenusMons

I completely disagree...my game is terrible..therefore this should not be possible. I wont know until somebody who knows looks and plays the same game over against the machine. If they lose making the same moves its an aberation but if they win...then theres probably a flaw..I kind of want to know/

Did you use the help of an other strong engine?

Chess_Horsey

No strong chess engine gives away two pieces and a pawn in the first 7 moves. Either there was a bug that caused the engine to play at the lowest level or this game is fake.

GeorgeGoodnight

No, it's broken.

I think there used to be a bug where if you closed an active game with a bot and returned to it the bot would play awful no matter its rating. It could have happened here

No I played the bot solo...I was shocked at the result hence I made the post and recorded the moves I made. I was hoping someone who plays well can replicate my moves and see what happens

The game is real I was surprised at the result so I screen shotted everything to try and understand what on earth happened. If some one else can replay the game and they get a similar result then something is broken.

I was kind of suspecting that there may be a flaw..I don't know what or how...but I screen shot the notation and am hoping some one who knows can figure it out..replay the game and see what happens.

Please tell me why so I can understand!

I played a bot once won the game. It was about 1300. Selected top level 25 for the next game. I won. Think it just kept the previous bot profile loaded. No way I can beat level 25. 1800 bot keeps kicking my behind.

I was shocked to win and yet there it is...3 Crowns not assisted and in 39 moves by checkmate..I made sure to screenshot everything...Anyway no one seems to know for sure.

I guess there is no answer. Technology and chess are unlikely bedfellows I suppose. There are various woes withe boards too.
