I just lost a game due to abandonment, despite having 6 minutes on the clock?

I just lost a 10 minute Blitz game, despite being in a winning position and having more time than my opponent. I get frequently disconnected during games and usually worst case scenario the clock runs out. In this instance I had 6 minutes on my clock, I was disconnected for about 40 seconds and then the game was declared lost due to abandonment!

Is there anything I can do to dispute this result?

No, you can't dispute the result.

You lost your connection to the chess.com server. In a 10 0 game, you only have 60 seconds to reconnect.

Now 40 seconds is less than 60 and so if that is correct, you should have reconnected, but I have no way of telling if your time assessment is correct.

But I do know that I have never heard of someone successfully disputing a disconnection / abandonment.

I would just forget about it and work on getting a better connection. In 10+ years playing here, I have almost never had a problem with connections.  Many people do have problems. I think the problems are probably on their end.

I have been disconnected for more than 60 seconds several times, and although it does say if you don't reconnect in 60 seconds you will auto resign all that happens for me is the clock runs out.

The reason why I'm frustrated is that this seems erratic and inconsistent. If there was some consistency I would be okay with the result. I have no way to test my connection to the Chess.com server, I just have to take their word for it, even though my Internet connection is still there.
