The thing is, I don't even understand how you become a Chess GM, IM or CM. I mean, do your real rating increases in real life tournaments? how? how do you know? is the rating on chess.com relevant? being 2500 rated player on this website makes me a GM?

The ratings totally make a difference. Trust me, a 2000 will be us 1000 and below folks everyday of the week. Practice, my friend.

But how do you increase your real life chess rating? going on tournaments? or is chess.com rating a real rating? can u become a real GM only using this site?

Those are FIDE titles. You can't get them online. You have to play OTB (over the board, meaning in person on a physical 3d board sitting across from your opponent). The OTB tournament has to be FIDE rated (a FIDE arbiter enforces rule and reports the results of the games to FIDE).

The rating on chess.com is not relevant to titles. But if you have a very high chess.com rating you may be as good as some titled players.

@ OP.   you have to find a Chess tournament or Chess club, to get an OTB chess rating.

Chess on this website is only for fun.   You can learn alot of about chess on this website, though and I hope you have an instructive and enjoyable time learning about chess here.
