I made a move with 5:46 left and then all of my time went down to 0:00 I "lost on time".

I'm very upset about this because I was literally taking a free piece with a check and about to take a significant lead in the game so my opponent would likely resign. As soon as I make the move I'm shocked that I lose on time! But I was sure I had more than half of the clock left in this rapid game and I checked and I did have 5:46 on move. This has never happened to me before and I never want it to happen again. Horrible experience.

Thanks. I appreciate that... I was upset because it was just shocking going from winning the game to losing on time all in an instant? but I understand these things happen. I might have to be more careful about playing around these hours.

No worries thank you for your understanding! We announce in a banner well before a server will restart but there was an issue today that resulted in some games finishing. Support are aware and will be sure to help you out once you write in however!
