I played two games, not sure what's going on.

First game opponent resigns the second opponent violated policy. So I'm two for two somehow.

These things happen. It's just a coincidence that it happened to you in your first two games. I wouldn't concern yourself with it too much.

Serious issue with the website on an otherwise awesome and FREE chess service.  Many people will violate the fair play policy and abort games if your rating is too low.  If you just started your rating is pretty low because I think it defaults you to 1200.  You will quickly go up if you're better then that and you will be facing much higher opponents than you based on your momentum such as you being at 1400 and your opponent at 1650 or such.  These people don't want to lose alot of points so they will leave the game and abort.

You've misunderstood the OP. Both opponents lost the game and the points.

I made a big mistake in the second and was able to get myself off the ropes. The opponent would have been pawn locked because I was able to castle on his non attacking side. Then I waited for his move, it never happened. Then I get a message he was violating policy and would be penalized accordingly. Maybe he was cheating I don't know?

The violation message means he left you waiting. Nothing more.

Got it.
