And your point is.....
I quit
Tartakower would be very proud about your choice, but I think he would suggest learning chess first.
Usually, the people who really quit chess just leave quietly. The people who announce it to the world don't really quit. You're safe, you'll be here forever.
You are giving him quite a hard time guys, he is admitting he isn't good at chess and has posted lots of things before
He will make more comebacks than Frank Sinatra.
How many comebacks did Ol' Blue Eyes have? (Not a Sinatra expert)
To the OP for THIS thread; A slump is normal. We've all quit numerous times. And its not restricted to just Chess. Priests, drunks, drummers
even parents.
Well... if you are really serious about your 3...Bf8 in post #9, then there are three possibilities:
1. You are a troll.
2. You are totally dumb.
3. You haven't attended the beginners' lesson #3 yet.
Please, make your choice.
Chess causes insanity. We all know it. How can someone say they're quitting the game and simultaneously devote their attention to an inferior opening system? That would be like me saying I'm not following the NFL anymore; I'm devoting all of my time to the Cleveland Clowns...huh???
You don't have to be great to admit that you love it and you're hooked. There's a fellow using the handle newengland7 that posts his horrible class E games every day, so what. He's allowed to have delusions of grandeur.
I studied the Polish for a month or so a few years ago: It's like a reversed Grob with no bite whatsoever. Anyone would be better off just playing 1.d4,d5 or 1.d4,Nf6. Playing the Polish is enough to make anyone want to quit!

I have quit the game of chess. my page will now be deciated to the polish opening and furthering our knowlege of this majestic opening. I am not a good player but i will continue to devote myself fully to the polish
