hello

i was always playing fair and with everybody regardless of their amount of points but still most of the time (i'm talking about live chess) and idk why but i always started as black and in many cases had people with a very very lower points than me even though i never declined games and played fair, so I decided to sometimes not playing against those people for those reasons i mentioned (starting as black, lower points than me by 100-200) and it's just started to get worse and worse, so i started to play fair with everyone again, but really it's never got fixed.

also since i started to decline games (waited until game stopped), i lost around 200-300 points, honestly i just had enough, i played in chess.com for many years now but i think it's time for me to move on, it's important to mention that im not angry or anything, i just thought i should say this once and for all and post a thread about it, idk why it's always used to let me play as black with very low points people than me (before i started to decline games) but it is what it is.

im probably gonna play shogi again, thank you for all these years and have a good day

Out of 8,113 blitz games, you played about 4,088 as white and 4,025 as black.

no offense but since it's a chess site, i figured someone would try to play it smart.

but i believe you answered yourself.

"

that's correct, games that i played, so let me answer you with this question, but do you have any idea how many games (in which i started as black) did i decline?

what you just showed me does not count all those ton of games i started as black and declined.

You quit if it puts you in as black? That’s bad man. Do you quit if they have a higher rating than you too?

yes, since i'm ending up starting as black like 90-95% of the games which i don't think make any sense. and i actually love to play with higher rating people than me.

it's not really a drama, just stating a fact, also i wonder how anyone else would react if they'd always end up starting as black all the time (almost entirely), i don't think it's fair anyway

Anyone under 1500 should be paired as black more often in my opinion. You learn how to reply to moves, whereas if you start as white and you play low level players you get a big lead in development because lower level players don't know what to play. They will just play a5 and h5 and bring out their rooks to a6 or h5. They don't know any better. So, playing as white does nothing for you. However, if you play someone higher rated as black, they are more likely to give you a better game. From there, you can learn chess principles and work on openings you are less familiar with. Once you win with black, then you should be paired more equally and it is now you who has to show better white play to stay at the rating.

If you don't know what I am getting at, try playing one of the chess bots as white where you win, not easily but with moderate difficulty. Then switch and then try to win as black. If the bot gave you enough of a challenge with wins as white, you are likely to lose as black.

I noticed this is more true with engines set to low levels. The personality bots with names on here seem to have specific character weaknesses which may make this more difficult to see.

You realize you can customize the rating range when seeking opponents right?

So what if you play as black? Embrace it and learn some fun black openings and soon you will complain about to much white games. If it's really a problem Take  a good friend and send a challenge and specify in the challenge you wish to play white (that is one of the options ). And any cheating is too much cheating. You should have expected to be restricted or banned at some point. Maybe start a new completely honest account and see if your problem stops.

sorry but I just can't believe you declined even 100 games as black when you shouldn't get black. maybe you played white 5 or 6 out of the 10 games before? then you can decline as many games as you feel like to but if you had white 6/10 games before, the computer very likely keeps giving you black :)

like everyone who doesn't decline games gets 50/50 black/white and not trying to play it smart, facts are smart though, the previous amount of games you played shows it's pretty correct. I suggest trying to play for fun and not taking ratings "too" seriously ^_^
