today, someone found something amazing. Hidden on a decorated vase from long ago was a complete chess game—played all the way back in 1471. This makes it the oldest recorded chess match ever found, even older than the famous Scachs d'amor from 1475.
The game was intense and full of good moves, ending in a draw after 54 cycles. The names of the players were written in a hard language: one is called Talfinos V, and the other is Ronaldo Li. We don’t know much about who they were—but their match shows us that people were already mastering chess centuries ago.
