I have had a good look at what you have posted here, and I am really sorry for some of the replies you have had.
This analogy does not refer to you personally, but it reminds me a little of people telling a person who has depression to just "snap out of it", "pull themselves together" or similar stupid statements, and some of those have been made here for sure, stupid statements that is.
Some appear to have assumed you are just making a joke here and responded as if you were triyng to put one over them.

They have clearly done no research and very little thinking about this, perhaps they are not capable of this ?
I had a look at your other forums, and you do not have a record of trying to fool people, most are literally about chess and your desire to undestand more, that is very clear.
It has to be your choice, but I think it would be sad if you give up playing.
Posting on forums however, ah, that might be a different matter.
From what I have seen so far in this thread, I might consider just discussing more personal matters such as this one with people you can trust.
A number of the replies here are simply ignorant, you can do better, not everyone is ignorant, but sadly many are.
You could also find some group or club on here, where you can discuss the chess stuff seriously without having to put up with some of this nonsense ?!

I have my own experience.
when I was out of form, I just stopped playing for a while and started playing again.
what happened was:
795 to 1000 blitz
average of <35 in PR to consistent 35s
(LC) 1497 blitz to 1590
puzzles: ~2610 to 2780 (now lowered again)
(LC) puzzles: 2050 to 2400
u see what I mean? these aren't small changes

I play chess for fun, and people are asking me if they want to be my coach. Wow. Maybe I could just stay at this rating? I won't even care by now. People tell me to get a rest, well I think I did it once, and really want to have a good life. Don't dm me for coach. I'm just gonna move on!
