It's not very important, but yet funny to see someone trying to (incorrectly) correct a probably native french speaker. As always, in everything, you should in most cases listen to the advice of people that are better than you (in chess, when learning a language, and a lot more) rather than argue with them telling they are wrong. That's why we go to school isn't that right ?

@Jarhold In case it wasn't so clear, I was telling that you were wrong, not @Kaeldorn who answered very poiltely to your : 1. useless 2.wrong 3. stubjorn comments. Just saying cause you reacted a thumbs up under my message

Don't put so much emphasis on online rapid and blitz ratings. Try OTB at classical time controls. That is the chess for which Elo developed the rating system. See how you do there. Then work to improve at real chess.

I would say the fun in being higher rated is being able to make the really crazy ideas you see at the board work. That and having a nice discussion with your opponent via the game. The ratings themselves are interesting, but I wouldn't take them too seriously. They are there to make sure you get opponents around your level in a certain time control.

I think it's fun to create a new game each time that only you and your opponent can appreciate
