What happens when you hit the limit on number of friends?

The limit is there only if you block all your friends :-)

The word "friend" means more as I get older, but I do understand the obviously limited meaning it has on the internet. So I'm far from creeped out by the request. I simply ask "Why", or, "Do I know you?". Maybe they just like what you've said in the forums, gbidari.

If that doesn't make them think twice, nothing will.

Are you on facebook?

Do I know you?

Why?Laughing

"Friends may come and gobut enemies accumulate."

All the more surprising, then, that friends on chess.com are unlimited - whereas BLOCKED enemies are restricted to 200.

As Sun Tzu said: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer...

That is only true according to the old Newtonian concept on the gravitation of foes, a theory which assumes that the two are discrete and separate qualities. We now know about quantum particles called "frenemies", first discovered by Niels Bohr when fellow physicist Erwin Schrodinger killed his cat in a thought experiment.

Do you mean chess.com friends or in real life?

"Illogical, Captain". You can't send Friend Requests to yourself.

No, this is equal to buying or borrowing "friends". When you will not have more of "it" to burrow the acquired friends will wanish...

"My point is, if you want to learn how to make friends, just go out to a coffee shop or a museum, meet people, talk to them, and take an interest in THEIR lives."

"That's insane on the face of it."

I re-rewrite: The only way to have a friend is to ASK FOR one (i.e. by sending a Friend Request)
