Most titled players only want to play you if you're close to their rating, which usually means 2200+ online.
When the rating gap is large, most of the higher rated player's moves will be the same as the engine move, so you can simulate it by simply playing an engine...
... and among the moves that aren't the engine's first choice, most of the moves will be a move that's just as good (in the practical sense)...
... and among the moves that aren't even that, most of them will be an error in a winning position that doesn't change the eval in the sense of winning, losing, or draw.
If you play 10 games, and if they stop taking you seriously at some point, you'll get a few positions where you're objectively better... but you probably wont notice, and even if you do, you won't know how to take advantage of it.
tl;dr -- you might as well play an engine.

I played a bullet game against an IM and I won....

Truth be told - the guy is 72 years old now and I'm "only" 47 but I've played chess only for 1 year (yes, I started at 46 )... and I won in bullet. Somehow I play best 1|0 bullet (had reached 1533 few days ago). The IM was also about 1500 rated in bullet. Of course, he played much better than me but was too slow.... I had like 22 seconds advantage when he flagged and was nowhere near mating me... So all of you, you have a chance. I felt really great after I noticed it was a titled player I won against only when it ended (because I always play in focus mode, I thought I was playing someone like me).
So guys, dream on.. it is possible .
