Ok, the opponent doesn't like to capture queens. 
It proves that computers are stupid
Maybe it was told to play the best move that does not involve capturing or checking, without being allowed to use said rule in generating its move ranks.

I purposely made mistakes because I knew that the level 1 computer was stupid

I think he might have been drunk.
