Hello everyone

I will have a 10+5 OTB tournament with very strong opponents (~1800) rating so if you are a FM or 1800+ please message me and challenge me unrated 10+5

What was your highest elo either here, lichess or OTB?

Avatar of knochibert

I just started to play OTB tournaments last year and got 1206 (peak 1226), on lichess i have around 1500 and here 1144

No wonder, you didn't play like a 1100. Your opening was solid, the only issue was when your king got a bit exposed. Even when you were down you defended well. Your pieces were active and that passed pawn could've been a real problem.

When is your tournament? And are you the lowest rated player there?

It’s in 4 days and i’m not the lowest rated player, there are one with 1100 and 4 without an ELO and one 1600, one 1700 and one 2000

#17 be careful with the people without the elo (unrated), because they are sometimes very strong online. Never underestimate anyone. For example, I played in a FIDE 5+3 tournament as unrated, ended up beating an 1869 and then in a FIDE 3+2 tournament I lost to an 1400. The most annoying and painful losses usually come when you underestimate someone
