if you are playing two games, one white one black

you wait for your first opponent to make a move as white, and from then on you copy each player's move over to the other game

so basically your two opponents are playing each other

is this considered cheating in online chess? (i think i already know the answer)

Martin_Stahl

Yes. That would be considered having outside help.

It probably would be considered cheating, but more importantly, you wouldn't be playing chess. You would be a medium for two other players to play each other. That makes my head hurt a little.

phildamasta

You would just lose the game because White always has first move advantage and therefore, will literally be one move ahead and win the game.

RetiFan

If you do that, you get either two draws, or one victory and one loss. If you want two victories, I suppose this tactic is useless.

Derren Brown is a demon.

that is possible if you have a lot of time and your opponent too have because it will take twice as much time as on if they were playing directly with each other because they will have half time to think. Moreover yes it's cheating like some one is sitting besides u and guiding u to make those moves.

Anyway good idea
