You've answered it in your own question when you said "...monopoly board to play chess..." I don't know why you would be using a different board and different pieces, but this is effectively just a chess "skittles" game. 

In fact, if you have the level of visualization titled players seem to have, then you don't even need a board to play chess and similarly you don't even need pieces to play chess grin.png

Yes, but rules are a little different: if you land on Free Parking you can promote to the boat and if you go to Jail your piece can't move for three turns unless you roll doubles (going to Jail is also the one time you can move into check). And if your opponent gets hotels and Park Place and Boardwalk you might as well resign.
