why are they closing it? because they are google and can do whatever they want? As someone else said it's the main reason for us to use igoogle as a homepage.
me the same. I really liked the gadget surface because i had quick access to my games and to the opponents, but ok give it a try.
At igoogle i was rated with 2000 points. I personally have no big problem about points, but i feel its not fair for the opponents when they expect someone about 1300. (P.S. after 3 games already back to 1550, thats indeed fast)

So today I read the iGoogle chess is closing down. Therefore, I signed up for a Chess.com account today. Is there any way to transfer the ratings from the iGoogle chess on to Chess.com? Thanks!
