We could play unrated live chess for that some time (ideally 10 min rapid or longer for learning), but it’s also important to keep playing players around your rating level too. If you play much higher rated players often, then you won’t get as much practice exploiting mistakes and converting winning positions. It can also be discouraging to play and lose often, regardless of how high rated the opponent is.
That being said, I could still play an unrated game or two for learning. :)
