The struggle is real, whatever your level. We are all the same in one way or another, trying to climb up the ratings and hitting ups and downs.
I'm actually really similar to Magnus Carlsen
Magnus Carlsen wanted to hit an elo rating of 2900 but so far has only gone up to 2882. I wanted to hit an elo rating of 1300 but so far could only reach 1282. I think we are practically alike. Thoughts?
Do you travel to various countries to play over-the-board chess tournaments?
Do you play with other GMs? Hmmm...
Plot twist: you indeed play against other GMs as well.
Update: whoops. just realized my actual highest rating is 1289, not 1282. I might actually be better than him.

Its called thread.
Forum is the whole thing.
This here is a posting, as was yours, which is put into a sequence called thread, which are collected in subforums with an associated title, and these subforums each have a theme and are collected in the forum, which is the whole thing.
Its popualr to call subforums just forums, but a thread is really just a thread.
