All high level players started out playing “classical” style , longer games to get where they are today.
They take that skill and then implement it into faster games like rapid, blitz, and bullet.

For me, I struggle against Bullet players who I could easily beat in Rapid. And when I say that, I'm saying that there are many games where I have the clear advantage in Bullet, but lose the game simply because I run out of time.
So, when I go through the top rated chess players in Rapid it is amazing that so many are at least above 2000.
You'd think there would be more players who are great at the longer games, but when it comes to the shorter games they are completely bad. Like under 1000 rating bad.
I just don't get it. How are they almost all very very good at Bullet?
