IM / GM icons (titles) next to the username

How do I get these titles up there next to my username? To be clear the icons that I am talking about are the ones in red with white text “GM” or “IM” on them...
Step 1: Get a title.
Step 2: Verify it to chess.com along with photo ID.
OK, step 1 looks a little hard, but after that it seems easy enough. Good luck!

Say, whatever happened to the FIDE online "amateur titled player" program? Like 1400 or 1600 would get you a title. Amateur Grandmaster. That has a nice ring to it; comes with photo ID. It does sound a bit grandiose I suppose to non chess buffs though. International Master sounds almost plausible. I suppose I could go look it up myself....

I think they will give you titles in their FIDE arena server but they may probably charge you $50 per year.
If they can charge $50 per player and give an average player a title, it is a kind of $50 million per year business. Woo Hooo!!
