Chess video celebrity IM Greg Shahade has decided to return to tournament chess, and has written this article on his reasons, expectations etc. I think he is the best chess video host on the web, he always makes things interesting.
What I particularly like about his article is his emphasis on fighting spirit, his approach to chess as a process of improvement and learning, and apparently an overall growing respect for the game.
I'll keenly wait for his video annotations of his slow games. It's a good read:
