Greg puts out one video once a week, MAYBE. I like his channel, but ChessExplained who is also an IM puts out 3 PER DAY. Definitely check out both.
IM Shahade's Youtube Channel
I'm sure chessexplained is wonderful. But there's a particular something IM Shahade does really well in his videos from which I feel many people can benefit. certain things about internet blitz that may be fuzzy/muddy suddenly become very clear.
I have I'm sure. I've done a fairly comprehensive search of all players who upload to youtube. it's data to me. If it's who I think it is, obviously a very strong player but I find him a bit too dry in some regards. In any case, his videos don't show certain aspects of internet blitz as clearly as do IM Shahade's videos.

I have to agree with Tarkanian. Chessexplained's videos are far superior than Shahade's. (My opinion, but obviously it's not unique.)
what's really going on in bullet and 3 minute no increment chess for example. as well as various psychological and practical factors that go into blitzing that a lot of people seem to like to downplay, pretend don't exist, when in fact they are really the most important factors at play. and of course observing what a 2400 IM can do in blitz chess always provides a person with a reality check in regards to what's possible and what's not, what's normal, what's not etc.

oh how very surprising! I have to say I do really find his videos a little dry. but this is a thread about IM Shahade's channel not chessexplained so let's not get off-topic.
ever so appreciative for your input!!!!! happy day to you!

Back to Greg and on topic, he's very personable, of course. The videos are fun to watch and he's a strong player. He also churns out other random videos just for fun. He has handstand pushup videos, and others, just to keep life interesting. Surprisingly strong little guy!

So we are talking about Greg and not Jennifer? I searched him and found a video he posted. First he wasted about 5 minutes trying to start a game and did not edit it out. Then he lost horribly and said his opponent played like a computer and questioned chess.com's ability to catch cheats. This is after he plugged his league and coverage on chess.com. He lost that game playing moves I could see were bad even though I am a much weaker player. We all have bad games, fine, but why the helicopter would he post that video? So after that I watched one of Jennifer's lectures from the St Louis Chess Club and learned something.

Good pt. I guess I assumed he was talking about Greg Shahade and not Jennifer. Then again, I am assuming Brankz is a guy and not a girl.

I'm not certain but wouldn't it be WGM Shahade if I were talking about his sister?
I find his videos entertaining and informative. and I think a lot of people can gain much perspective concerning many things about internet blitz and bullet by watching his videos. they can help clarify certain things. perhaps some of the more nuanced stuff would be lost on someone without a solid understanding of chess. he does go really fast sometimes. but I think most of what I am talking about will come across clearly to most anyone, even to people who don't know anything about chess; provided they aren't biased in some way and are actually paying attention to what they are seeing.
but I do appreciate your input here ever so much. happy day to you!
I just wanted to let people know of its existence. It's really interesting stuff. Shame not many people are even aware of it. real honest snapshots of an IM playing internet blitz. I think people can get a lot from it. you know perspective on certain things......
