Could you be more specific with your question? As far as I can tell, there is no trick ... just being skillful enough to restrict your opponent's king with his or your pieces and deliver the final blow.

just want to know this term "checkmate".
Checkmate is when a king is currently in check, and cannot either:
-interpose the check (place a piece or pawn between the piece that is checking the king)
-moving into a square that isn't in check
-or capture the attacking piece.
What is the trick behind checkmate concept??
