On a whim I applied for a simul in my local town. The places were all taken but there may be a drop out so went for it on the off chance. I believe there were 4 different players at different venues doing simuls.
Im a terrible player but thought it would be fun to have a good try.
Due to a dropout I have been offered a game against GM Gawain Jones, who is near 2700. Its in public. My board is 'A'. I haven't ever played a formal over the board match ever and they are providing score sheets and pens!
Any advice?
