Thanks. in 40 minutes the next position should be up.

chesster3145

The following position arose after 11 moves of a TKD game, personally the greatest VC game I have ever played in.

I have only one question for you:

1) Evaluate 12. Qg4!?

DMGame

Qg4 loses a pawn with check.... here is my rough line.

1.Qg4 Bxh2+ 2. Kh1(Kf1 a5 and Ba6 is a bit annoying) and now f6, 0-0(which looks risky) or Kf8 and white has a bit of a dynamic edge but staticly black should be better.

DMGame

When someone gets this correct message me and I will post my next position. Just remember anyone can post but before you do contact me so I can work your position into the ones I have. If you do want to I will give you some insrtuctions for what to do.

chesster3145

Not so fast... White threatens 3. g3 and 3. Qxg7.

chesster3145

In many cases I won't have answers for the positions I post. But this one I do have the answer for, because I did a fair bit of analysis in this game.

chesster3145

You don't have to wait until this is solved. Besides, it's much more complicated than it looks. Should I message you with the solution?

DMGame

Qg4 is correct is it not?

Till_98

I was thinking about Qg4 Bxh2+ Kh1 Be5 Rxe5 Qxe5 Bf4 which looks decent for white.

DMGame

Yes It does.

That's the right idea, but the line goes much farther.

4..Qf6 and black is slightly better. Both Qh5 and h3 are better than Qg4, leaving black with no advantage whatsoever.

Remember, this was a VC game. If it was that simple, we would have found it.

Till_98

well tell me what you do after Bf4... I don´t see how black can defend. After Bf4 Qf6 simply Ne4 looks crushing.

DMGame

Here is the next position.

White has a scary looking attack but does he have anything? You need to decide if white is better, why or why not, by how much, and what is the best move. Remember you need solid calculation to get this. Oh and please don't use a computer for these positions. It defeats the point. I am saying that just in case. Enjoy!

Do you know how to play?

Till_98

Yep Bf5 and 1:0. Black rook moves and Bxg6 Nxg6 Rxg6+ fxg6 Qxg6+ Kh8 Qh5+ Kg8 Rg1 wins.

DMGame

Good!

Next position will be a new topic(we have gone over 500 views) I am sure you can guess what the first topic was.
