Yeah, but aslong as you enjoy the game of chess still after 30 years you're winning. Plus it's good for your brain

The fact that you have been playing for 30 years is a milestone, the fact that you are still playing is amazing. You clearly have a passion for the game, never stop. Just enjoy playing.

After a year or so, you are no longer a beginner. You're just a bad chess player.

It depends on how much effort you've put into trying to improve and how much you play chess just for fun. Your currently listed chess.com rapid rating is in the 700s and this is only slightly below average, so you might not be as "bad" as you think you are. Your statistics page says this rating puts you at the 49 percentile, so you are actually just one percentage point away from smack average; not too terrible really. 

Of course, I'm sure you could quickly improve on this rating if you really were serious enough about investing time in for improvement. Here is a good resource if opening principles aren't something you use enough:
