I think it’s pretty normal for people to see large disparities like that. I also have about a thousand-point difference between my puzzle rating and my blitz rating. The puzzle rating is a different sort of thing.
improving using puzzles???

I’ve been playing chess a couple of years now and the 5/5 blitz is my preferred format. But, I’m struggling to improve. More application needed and time obviously, but I do analyse say 30% of my games-the ones I lose but am stuck at 680ish ELO.
Here, is the interesting thing to me though- i have fairly easily worked my way up to 2000 on the puzzles here on chessdotcom. And yet I regularly get beat by 600 elo players.
Is this common or weird?
