Hey guy's I'm new here and just recently started playing chess.
What I've seen when playing chess is very unfortunate, like beating someone who played 2000+ chess games while I'm just starting. How is this possible. How come this person is so bad despite having so much experience?
Assuming this person is actually trying, (which they were since they made a few pretty good moves in my opinion), wouldn't you think you'd have a really good understanding of the game after having played it that many times? How is it even possible to not learn anything from experience. Sorry but this just blew my mind.
I've just started to really play chess in the past 2 weeks, I'm in my early 20's and never have played (except for learning the basic rules when I was a kid). Just bought two books on openings and beginners stuff, as well as downloaded two books on middle and late game.
The point of my post is : How do I keep improving and increase my learning of chess and not fall behind. I'm ready to put around 1h of play/study almost everyday, but these guys are also doing that and I don't want to be like them.
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for your answers.
Yours truly,
a Newb trying to get better at this game.
