I've never heard of a "16 moves". Ask your classmate what on earth they mean, please:)
In Chess, Is There a 16 Moves ??

He was probably taling about the 50 move rule. Where if a peice is not captured or a pawn is not moved within 50 mules the game is a draw.

50 mules the game is a draw.
It shouldn't take 50 mules to draw a game, maybe just a couple of chickens

Yes, Game of Thrones, where every week you can watch torture, murder and rape. It's popularity must be another sign that people enjoy depravity.

There must be an appeal for the masses to watch depravity just based upon the content of the series, don't you think?
Apparently, this is a common misconception among casual chess players. A quick search on the internet shows that this is a commonly asked question. The misconception could result from a misstatement of the 50 move rule, as elaborated on previously. It could also be confusion with a similar rule in Thai chess (makruk), which has a rule that in the situation of rook plus king versus lone king, the side with the rook must deliver mate in 16 moves or the game is drawn (21 moves if the lone king is in one of the center 4 squares). Notably, it is very easy to deliver mate in fewer than 16 moves with a king and rook endgame.
When I was a kid just starting to play chess, I frequently played another kid who cheated and made up rules. One of his rules was "flying kings" -- in which the king under certain circumstances (the circumstances seemed to change each time he recited the "rule") could move 2 or 3 squares. He typically invoked the rule when I had checkmated him. Interestingly, whenever I tried to invoke the rule (or any one of his weird rules), he told me it did not apply for some reason (e.g., the rule doesn't apply for the side that is winning, or it doesn't apply on Tuesdays). He also sometimes shifted pieces on the board when he thought I wasn't looking. Of course, I remembered the board position and knew that he had illegally moved a piece. Despite all his cheating, I usually still won most of our games.
My Classmates said that there was a 16 moves. If you lose the 16 moves the game will be draw, Of course I don't want to be draw. So I ask you , Is There a 16 Moves ?
