I have like 3 or 4 chess.com forums posts, but I have encountered so many cheaters recently that I am wondering what is happening. I have been playing chess for years now, and I rarely ever encountered a cheater. I only remember playing a cheater a few times over the past few years. Well, a few weeks ago, I encountered a cheater. I looked at their games, all stuff like 97 98 99% accuracy. I reported him, and of course lost, but luckily they got banned and I got my rating back, I encountered 2 more cheaters over the next few days, same thing happened. I didn't encounter any cheaters (I think) for a few weeks. Yesterday I played another cheater, I lost but I checked today and they got banned. Now I just lost to another cheater, so I have lost to 2 cheaters in a row. I don't even play that much, I play 1 30 minute game a day and maybe a few blitz/bullet games. Was there an increase in cheaters, if so why, or am I just unlucky? My rapid rating is mid 1800s, I thought cheaters would be much higher rated.
