Increasing depth/Calculation speed - new laptop

Hi Everyone, I just bought a new laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 6800 and was hoping for a decent calculation speed something around 20k kn/s but for some reason I am getting around 5k kn/s using free chessbase reader 2017 and stockfish 16. On lichess I can get around 8K kn/s with 12/15 CPUs on. What am I doing wrong and how I can get this up. I have never had a decent PC or a laptop and so far have been analysing with only 900 kn/s - 3500K kn/s.  Thank you.

I’ll leave the suggestions to the hardware experts; however instead of buying fast computers in the hopes of fast calculation, try cloud servers. You can configure your own using AWS and other platforms, or you can use Chessify which offers up to 1bn nodes per second; 100m nodes per second automatically with a plan higher than Amatuer I believe.

Thank you for your response, I have tried these and they did not seem comfortable to use for me and I find them a bit pricey. 350USD per year just for chess analysis is too much for me. I did not buy the laptop to analyse chess only but also play other games, I like playing Street Fighter and Company of heroes and also use it for work. I`d be happy with around 20K kn/s on my laptop though , I`ve seen people with similar specs achieve that speed.
