insuffiecent material vs time over
Heres a good question for you guys, i saw in my game which i forgot to show in images that i had a knight and 2 pawns vs a rook and a pawn, i managed to fork the king and rook to capture the rook so i had a pawn left and a knight vs 2 pawns, the king moved towards my first pawn and after i took his rook he took that pawn, shortly after he took the other pawn beside it leaving me a knight and king vs his pawn and a king, i offered a draw as there was no way his pawn was going to go anywhere near the end to get a queen, however he declined and moved on thinking he could so i put my king in front of his pawn and he was short on time so i just kept checking him with my knight until he ran out of time, thing is shouldnt he be punished for not accepting the draw when he could and lose on time? why should i have to play it out knowing he cant beat me ? i got a draw because a knight and king cant mate a king alone, why should he then be allowed to play on with his pawn?
No. He can still mate with a king and pawn. You are not entitled to a presumption that you will play correctly and not blunder and lose. Prove it.
Oh, and yeah, obviously the opponent could win by promoting the pawn.
There's nothing like the OTB "insufficient losing chances" rule online.

The insufficient material rule is based on piece count, not evaluation, which means that the system is not evaluating whether the pawn is easy to take or whether the pawn is going to be promoted. There is going to be a lot of positions where the player with the pawn can force the promotion of the pawn. For the player with the knight there is virtually no chance of winning. Maybe you have a one in a billion chance of reaching Preggo's position and if the pawn is not in the a-file or h-file then the changes are zero unless your opponent wants to lose, however there is going to be a lot of cases like yourself where the player with the piece is going to try to flag the opponent and therefore create some frustration.
