Interactive EBook software for Windows

Hi

Can anyone recommend an interactive ebook reader for windows or comment on any of the following?

I am looking for a chess app that will permit me to read through a chess book and easily play through the examples. Have you tried this type of product? What do you think?

Publishers such as Everyman and Gambit offer proprietary solutions specific to their library of books.

Forward Chess offers a windows app - but their library seems limited. It offers a nice feature that permits the user to access Stockfish while working with the text.

Another reader E+Plus books looks interesting but is only for Apple products - when will they release a Windows version?
