Intermediate Elo Level of Chess

What do you guys think the elo range of intermediate players in chess are?

I personally think it's roughly 1200 - 1800, how about you guys?

I think there’s a huge difference between players at 1200 and 1800, and calling them both just “intermediates” is a little bit of a broad stroke.

For me, beginner probably does end around 1200, but I think from there to 15-1600 is maybe best determined as “early intermediate” and then 16-1800 as intermediate.

For online chess, anyway. For otb, my level at nearly 2200 chesscom is still frighteningly low at tournaments

probably when you reach 1600-1800 (or some might say 1600-2000) OTB

2000-2200 is expert, and beyond that are masters
