iOS moves not showing - game abandoned

Hi, I’m new to chess and I’ve only recently started playing online on the 10min games using the iOS app. I’m having an issue where I’m waiting for an opponent to move and the timer runs out and the game abandons and I lose because it’s not shown the opponent moves. Is this a common issue? It’s happened several times now and it’s pretty frustrating as I’m enjoying the games. Is it better to use the iOS app or browser version?
