My crystal ball isn't that good...
Is Chess.com ever going to fix the application frequently freezing, ruining games?

I doubt that the ad revenue makes up most of total revenue. At any rate, you have no way of knowing that.
Also, chess.com has had the same owners since 2005, when they bought out the people who developed Chess Mentor (the online lessons).
While chess.com has problems, when I see see conspiracy theories like yours, and notice that you only joined two weeks ago, I think it's more likely you work for lichess.

Been a member for years and have never encountered these problems. Any chance the issues could be on the users’ end?

Just loss 2 games due to video ads loading, going to check out other sites.
That's not possible. You won 3 out of 4 games today.

I understand ad-blockers but here is the deal, I really want chess.com to make money/pay their bills and I actually do not mind ads if they were not interfere with live games. But it is frustrating to lose multiple games because of delays due to ads loading. There has to be some compromise. I have yet to find another chess site I enjoy as much.
It appears that, so far, management is unwilling to compromise. So if everyone runs an ad blocker, management might suddenly be willing to compromise.
Isn't the point of an online chess site to host games? For almost a year, chess.com has been aware that its bandwidth does not support its ad schemes and member access demands. They have protocols (which one of their reps admitted to me) to allow their non-paying members games to freeze when the application is stressed. In about 1/3 of the games I play, I lose because I simply stop being able to move. In another significant percentage of my games, I can see that my opponent is having the same issues. It is easy to say that chess.com is "free" for non playing members, but the reason chess.com bills itself as a "free chess site" is that is generate MOST of its revenue from ads that only non-paying members see. This site used to be THE one and only and best chess website in the world. They have ruined it. I wonder if their has been a change in ownership and the new owners are simply sucking everything they can out of monetization schemes (without putting a proper design in place to control the effect of the ads on the application) while they liquidate the brand. In any case, their reps are useless. One will tell you to check with your ISP, another says delete your cookies, a third sends a graph with data "proving" that no other members are having problems, a fourth says that it is a particular advertiser and "dramatic changes" are coming and he is really sorry. But nothing changes. Whoever is running this site now has ruined it.
