Many of us are wondering is chess.com becoming more social then chess?

We have alot of feature but with over 10 thousand clubs some with over 20 thousand members is chess.com more social then chess?

Depends on the person.

most people on this site aren't serious about chess at all. otherwise you couldn't beat 99% of players just by chomping on hanging pieces

Hanging pieces is increasingly rare past 1000 and almost non-existent past 1800 I believe. Unless you only play bullet then maybe. Your ego needs some containment frfr.

The number of daily games seems to be holding to pretty normal numbers. I don't think the site is any more social than it has been for years really.

Well overall the social side of cc is quite small compared to the overall player base, maybe something like 1/500 (probably less tbh) are on the social side of cc... while they are major clubs with alot of people, most of those people don't talk in notes or live chat, they just silently play club matches. Overall I'm sure the social side of cc is growing but compared to the overall cc player base...it still has a long way to go.

Chesscom is more about chess than social, if we are talking about general. 90%+ of people (yes, numbers out of a thin air, but we can just assume based on many millions active accounts and activity in social) just never use any social, they just play chess.

200 million members, CC is not a social
