Chess gives youth opportunity to fight, to middle age chance to gain conclusions and to seniors to build.
Chess is universal game, true reflection of life.

I have lost a truck-load of games [ approx 60 % ] to all and sundry , mainly because It does'nt matter too much to me , once we have good sport playing . I have only lost to one or two english players , and they were all of Irish extraction. Perhaps , you should take up Bridge ; It keeps women of an indeterminate age off the streets , so , Pip Pip ! I'm sure you will find the company agreeable.

Chess is about as complicated as it gets. It tests memory, analytical skills and patience, all characteristics of human nature, and present at different levels in different people. Contrary to common belief, it is not an idicator of intelligence level, especially if one considers judgement to be an indispensible factor in judging intelligence.
(Obviously, if I were at a 2,000 level, I would deny this).
Oh I'm not comfortable, it's true ... My rating is below 2000, and no luck, despite some years of study, I believe not be part of smart people.Eureka, I found the solution in the week, perhaps? Damn, I'm on vacation, I can not do all along ... And I scratch my head.
Chess is a game, a diversion. Some get too caught up in it to the exclusion of all else. Remember it is not life and death and enjoy the competition.
But may I add, happily we enjoy the Chess and chess.com. And as our discussions on the board are as informative and beneficial ... Damn I unmasked!

In general we call the pieces as "chess men". In real life some people are straight forwarded like rooks. some peoples choose cross ways like bishops.ofcourse among them few choose the white way and few choose the dark way.some people jumps whoever on his way and go like knight.After all everybody knows that the ladies [Queens] move in all directions.some of them starts their life like pawns and by hard work and by not looking back, they got promoted. All these men have to save the king. By handling all these men, a chess player starts to know the practical life and people, and is capable of handling any men or women of any given suituation in life.
Now ladies and gentlemen, tell me "is chess crap" ?
No its not crap........just enjoy this wonderful game.....it's make me lot tougher.

Chess is an enjoyable game at home level and at club level between friends or members of family and neighbourhood !
Many people hate chess because of competition at high level, but they can keep from participating in tourneys and only enjoy the games of other players !
