Is chess P2W now?

You only get 1 free game analysis per day, and (maybe) you need more (if you don't play one game in a day), so you will have to buy chess.com membership to get more/infinite amount of game analysis, and here is the answer to a question I think somebody will ask. "Lichess have a free analysis don't they?" yes, they do, but their analysis kinda sucks for me, because how the moves are marked are different from chess.com analysis.

Self analysis available for use on all games. Game Review gets a lot of development effort and runs server side utilizing resources, so is limited based on membership levels.

Whoopsy, my bad. I was talking about game review, not the analysis. But I agree that game reviews get more development. But it does not change the fact that u have to buy membership to get more/infinite amount of game reviews, means that chess is P2W but only on chess.com

Access to extra learning resources under a subscription is not P2W. There are plenty of premium members at all rating levels and basic members at all levels as well. You don't need premium to win and having pre premium doesn't mean you'll win more

Having premium means you learn more, but you still have to be smart to win more.

you can literally put all your games you played into an engine like stockfish which u can download for free and see what the engine considers good moves or not. the game review doesnt really add much to analysis, it just makes definitions of ur moves, like calling some good, inaccuracies or blunders etc.

the bulk of analysis of your games is done by the engine already by giving evaluations and top lines for each position in the game, as well as changing the evaluation of the game position based on what move you make. That's really all you need.

To be fair, analysis comes with eval bar so you can look at that to see your:

Best moves - No change in eval
Excellent - changes by less than 0.02
Etc.

there is a support page which tells you all of this, so if you’re willing to put in the effort, game review is free. (You can look at the sequence of best moves after mistakes too)

You don’t need to differentiate the different moves. Just identify if it’s worse or better than inaccuracy.

If eval bar and show best moves are premium features, then yes, it is basically pay to win.
