The same for centuries? In what finalised in the 1800's... (Mainly.)
Change for the sake of change is silly.
I don't get annoyed when a player comes up Fromm er many, simpel because of a war fought 70's years ago by (most likely) people two generations older then him who just happenend to be born in the same land mass as he was.
And for some reason I can edit the actual words, so *simply and *happened. And I meant cannot earlier in this sentence. For some reason my iPad refuses for me to change words. Don't know why.
Make demands all you want.
Back up those demands with helpful suggestions, however, and people will take you seriously.
Anyway, why are you offended by people who fought against the land mass you just happen to be born into- your Irish.
Ireland being one of the neutral countries in Europe at the time.
Not my first topic, lets say that. It's discriminatory to have to put a country. You then get annoyed because your in the enemy country in WWIII. Chess has stayed the same for ages, the only improvement is different types of games and different looking pieces.
The current rating system is bad, CAPS is better but you need a membership to see it. It should auto show you your CAPS scores during your game. If someone pretty good keeps fighting pros he will never get a correct rating, like me. But if they used CAPS scores during/after games and then depended your new rating on that, everyone would be happier because it shows your true score.
Even FIDE should stop using that. To get a rank, they should have you face an opponent and then calculate the CAPS score. Dang, I faced lvl 6 computer and got 95.48 (2350 rating) for my moves!
Anyways, most of the people who play on this site don't have perfect internet. Disconnected after poor internet status? Stop the dang timer! Had perfect internet most of the game but left after a losing position? Get that ban hammer in the closet!
So Chess.com really needs to improve. So does chess itself. It doesn't have to stay the same for centuries.
