The fact that this is an actual argument is silly. If white decides to play a difficult to understand opening their probably worsening there own position. With this in mind whoever moves first doesn't matter. Also if black went first it would change absolutely nothing except make it more confusing. So even creating this post was to attract attention. White or black it doesnt matter which goes first but white goes first because it has been normalized and is easier to remember current openings.

Wealthier Parents? Thats a economic problem nothing to do with chess. Also its about which color goes first. Just because someone has more or less melanin in there skin doesn't make a difference skill wise it only depends person to person. Also how would giving black players a 400 Rating Boost help in any way that wouldn't be fair to people who want to play with a good elo rating system. Race shouldn't be brought into chess. At the end of the day chess is just a board game that is framed in a very professional way.
Some people say chess is racist because white always starts but many people dont know that when chess was invented it was red and black but red was changed to white for visual reasons so chess is not racist.
