True.
Is chess unconsciously support racism?

Chess is racism.
Different nations fight each other.
Different clans fight each other. Like in Samurai movies. The Takeda clan fights the Echigo clan.
In Chinese Chess, the names in the middle of the board are the names of the 2 fighting dynasties.
Um, racism and war are not the same thing.
Yes, war is a more honest form of racism.
What if the war is fought for religious reasons between members of the same race? Then it is not racism.

Just look at South Africa.
In a society where white people are the minority, and black people hold positions of power, then it makes sense to have movements that fight against black racists and support the vulnerable white population.
However, whatever their situation may be doesn't make the racism in America any less real.

In most ancient and modern cultures day is considered to come before night. Light before dark. I believe that is why white moves first. It has nothing to do with race.
"And the there was light" suggests all darkness prior, so darkness comes before light.

Black moves first in Go.
Go is more ancient than chess.
IIRC black was also a color representing good luck.

Religion is just another form of race. My people vs. You people.
In some sense that's true, but only if you leave out all the details. Religion is an ideology.
For example, this leads some people to argue that there's no such thing as a Christian child or a Muslim child. They're not developed enough to understand an ideology to believe in it... but obviously children have race.

Oh, I agree, I was just saying that there are no real counter-racist movements there. The government actually passed a law a couple of years ago allowing white's land to be seized without compensation.

Marathon runners (at least the competitive ones) damage their body to complete the race, so banning that might gain some traction in the future.

That's just stupid, son. Everybody would've cared. Can't you see that what happened was an outrageous crime?
Plenty of crimes perpetuated on Whites and Asians that never get headline coverage or result in millions taking to the street. Black cop shoots and kills a retarded White child. Nothing happens. Black Uber driver shoots a defenseless Asian passenger 10-times. No protests. We can go on and on. Fact remains: this is all about bolstering the idea of Victimhood, the fictitious story that black people have suffered more than any other people and everyone else is to blame for it. That we are now talking about a "Floyd Variation" in chess and having the black pieces move first just shows you how insane it's become.
Indeed, outrageous crimes happen everyday, literally, perpetrated by characters ranging from somebody's grandmother to somebody's son. If you're wondering where you can find the coverage on those stories, check your local library for newspapers.
Not every story gets to headline, but when it does they go with it until people don't feel like watching anymore.
There are also plenty of documentaries covering the issue of racial injustices and it's long lasting effects on society. I can't really recommend any, but I'm sure a Google search wouldn't be a bad start. You don't just eradicate centuries of systematic and psychological damage over a few decades. Families have a hard enough time undoing the damage and rift brought on by a few arguments.
This is not something that can be covered within a few exchanges on a forum thread.

"unconsciously"
You could have stopped right here.

The colours on a chess board are not racist.
But those who see racism in everything are.

Please just stop, this is just like the "why do we need a king" forum. Chess if fine just the way it is.
White people are not the only people that can be racist, everyone seems to forget that.
Obviously prejudice and bigotry are part of the human condition. Everyone is capable (and many are) racists regardless of their skin color.
But injustice impacts different groups differently. Some members of society necessarily have less power, and so we have laws that help protect them. For example poor people and children.
In other words, if a population is predominantly white, a white racist tends to do more harm than a black racist. That doesn't make one person's racism less wrong, but it does make addressing one person's racism more worthwhile.
