I'm really bad at chess so I can't tell how good the AI is, but the game is quite cool.

Hi Diversion01--as a mostly PC user, CM XI has been my go-to program for years.  It's not as strong as newer software, but still rated around 2700 and an earlier version beat GM Larry Christiansen in a regulated match.  So it's definitely not the sort to hang its queen or anything.  It's several years old by now, so you'll miss out on newer theory, but the tutorials are solid and the software is incredibly full-featured.  Unless you're already at the level where you don't need Chessmaster, there's a lot that one can learn from it.
