Only in an Online game that is designated from the start as a "Takeback" game, which are always unrated.  This type of game is more useful as a coaching tool, where the stronger player can allow their students to try multiple lines in-game to see how they play out.

It is also possible, if you trust your opponent and provided your move didn't irreparably alter the mechanics of the position, for the two of you to play neutral moves to return to a previous position.

I think you can do it in unrated correspondence chess games, but not in live.
