Is it just me or does going back to school make you tired and play garbage chess

^^^^. This is happening to me right now. Right after the long weekend of playing good chess, I all of a sudden started making bad plays right after I started playing chess following the completion of my homework and school.

If I am on a losing streak, the best thing I can do is to step away for the day.  Reason being, my mindset changes from "make good moves" to "must win".  I can only speak for myself but that is always a recipe for poor play.  Just try to focus on making strong moves.  Rather than "I must win the game".

Good, it's not just me.

Yes, it probably is, despite the fact that I only have five hours of online school to complete.

Oh yes, that is what is happening to me. Instead of being able to tell myself, "just have fun and beat some people while your at it", my brain is constantly telling me "don't let your rating fall below 1500."

Exactly.  Which is a distraction from trying to make the strongest move in the position.
