Is it ok to study openings at 1600

I fluctuate around 1600 on ICC and Playchess and I think I need deeper knowledge of some openings.

Should I continue to focus on other aspects of the game or should I start going through MCO.

Don't just go through lines, but try to learn strategic ideas. An old, but good book is Rueben Fine's "The Ideas behind chess openings". Another good book is Ludek Pachman's "chess openings".

After reviewing some of your games.  Openings arent your issue, hanging pieces, and missing simple tactics are.

Work on your tactics.
